THE CHASE - 2 BOTTLE BUNDLE
(discount at checkout when purchasing the bundle)

In the first installment of our series, our old friend is hot on the Runner’s heels, armed with boundless confidence and his usual questionable judgment. The chase leads straight into a pitch-black tunnel, where he strikes a match to get his bearings. Fresh prints and a lingering trail of dust… that runner can’t be far ahead.

Then the flickering light reveals what’s beside him: a stack of HAZMAT crates and enough dynamite to give this story a very short ending.

He freezes. The match keeps burning. Suddenly, catching the runner drops a few spots on the priority list.

“Whew… that was close. But NOW WHAT DO I DO?”

Nose:
Closer to marshmallow in that sweet vanilla nose, oak, and a barely noticeable hint of peanut brittle.

Palate: The sweet peanut brittle carries into the same soft mineral sweetness. The sweetness comes in and out as it swirls around the palate, and it’s a really fun experience!

Finish: the marshmallow peanut brittle fades and leaves the familiar light mineral oakiness from the other release.

When we last left our friend, he was standing in a dark tunnel, holding a lit match beside a stack of HAZMAT crates and asking, “Now what do I do?”

Apparently, he took a little too long to answer.

One tiny spark later, the tunnel has plenty of light. The Runner is long gone, the dust trail has been replaced by smoke, and our resident super genius is sporting a freshly scorched coat. Still clutching what’s left of his match, he raises a sign with his most sensible plan yet: HELP.

As for what was in those crates? This 142-proof "hazmat" whiskey. Only a few bottles survived the blast, leaving us with one very short barrel—and our friend with some explaining to do.

The first chapter left us with a question. This one leaves us with one word: YIKES.

Jim Beam contracted mashbill, aged in Stitzel-Weller rickhouses

Nose: Oak, cinnamon, and vanilla, light mineral
Palate: The sweetness carries into the palate, with hints of Luxardo cherry. Would make an excellent Old Fashioned. It doesn’t drink like it’s 142.32, I would have guessed around low to mid 120.
Finish: unexpectedly long! The sweetness fades into a light mineral oakiness that lingers softly.
Both are delicious!
